Charleston is my second favorite dance (right after Balboa)

Here is post number four and I want to make it a longer post to see how it will fit in it's little box.

I'll need to make a very long paragraph here so I'll tell you that Charleston is an 8 count partner dance, that can be done face-to-face, side-by-side or in a spoon position. It is a high-energy dance that lends itself best to a little bit faster tempo than your typical lindy hop beat.

It is sometimes seen on the dancefloor being done to a slow lindy hop beat, but it is a BAD example of Charleston when seen that way.

Think of a song such as "Sing Sing Sing" for the best Charleston rhythm.
