Monday Lessons! Solo Jazz 201: Tranky Doo!

That's right, only one class in December since it's a short month.

Here's what you need to know:
7:00-7:15 - Registration& Warmup
7:15-8:30 - Tranky Doo with Tory and Keito

If you’re ready to level up your solo dancing, this class will get you into some more intermediate jazz moves so you’ll be ready to conquer the Tranky Doo, a fun piece of choreography from the 40s still performed today.

It’s on the tricky side, so some experience in choreography (ie. Shim Sham) is helpful, though not required. Since these classes will run a little longer in length, if we get through with time to spare, we'll tack on the Swing & Soul line dance in week 3 — all are welcome to join in for that one.

No drop-ins if you miss the first week, unless you have already learned this choreography and are refreshing.

$20 for 3 class series (20% series discount with valid student or military ID) $8 drop in

Remember: No street shoes on the dance floor! Bring a water bottle, as the only water source is the bathroom sink. It's likely to get a little warm once you get moving -- bring a change of shirt or towel if you think you'll need it!

CCSwing Halloween Dance!

Doing something a little different this year -- since Halloween proper is falling on a Wednesday, we're doing a Sunday dance in lieu of having to celebrate a whole week early or a day late.

This year we’ll be down in Walker's Point at Anodyne Coffee and there'll be live music with our friends from Milwaukee Hot Club!!

Come on out at 7:00 and learn (or refresh) the classic "Thriller" choreography with Tory.

We'll have a costume contest, as always, and will be awarding prizes around 9:45/10 so make sure you're there early so our guest judges can check out your Halloween finery!

No basic swing lesson tonight.

7:00 - Thriller lesson
8:00-11:00 - Milwaukee Hot Club

$10 cover

Costumes encouraged, not required

Lindy Bus Tour 2018

Mark your calendars for our 2018 Lindy Bus Tour! After a departure from tradition last year, we're back to give our dancers the swingingest way to attend Doors Open Milwaukee! We're planning for some of our greatest hits, some new spots, special treats, and music this year will be courtesy of our awesome DJ Brian!

**Please read!!**

-Registration update!! Registration is OPEN! Cost this year is $20.

-You must contact us directly -- send us a FB message, talk to us in person at an event or send us an email at creamcityswing@gmail.com. Just RSVPing "going" to the FB event page does not, I repeat, does NOT! reserve your spot on the bus. Space is limited, so we try to make this process as fair as possible.

-Try to be sure that you can make it before registering -- it makes my job way easier if people aren't constantly backing out with conflicts, leaving me to try to fill the spots.

-Once we've sold out, you'll be put on the waitlist and will contact you as soon as we know if there's a spot.

-Once you've registered, you have 5 days to pay or you risk getting bumped if there's a waitlist.

-This tour happens rain (as we found out last year) or shine! No refunds are available if you cancel after September 17.

-Due to the refreshments encouraged on the bus, this tour is ages 21+ - no exceptions . Our organizers are too busy making sure we're not being kicked out of the venue, haven't lost the bus, or left anyone behind to police underage drinking. If we are unsure of your age, you will be carded upon registration. Thank you for understanding.
