Thursday Night Swing Dance

  • Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery (map)

In honor of World Lindy Hop Day and Frankie Manning's 105th Birthday on May 26th, join us to celebrate by rewinding back a couple of decades! Frankie Manning was one of the original Savoy dancers and played a huge role in swing's revival in the 80s and 90s. We'll be rocking out to a mix of some of Frankie's favorites and those guilty pleasure retro songs from the 90s. It's always a fun night - stick around for a Frankie-lead Shim Sham and birthday cake!!

Come dressed for the theme -- in your vintage duds, neo-swing style, or just come as yourself.

If you're feeling so inclined, there's so much to learn about Frankie Manning -- there's a wealth of interviews and videos of him dancing on YouTube. He lived a pretty amazing life, so take a second (or an hour) to take a look at some of what he did -- it'll blow your mind!

A portion of all entry fees will be donated to the Frankie Manning Foundation.

8:00 - Basic 6-count lesson (no experience or partner required)
